(A)Road Driving Session

Goal: Master control of the truck during required backing maneuvers.

Format: Behind-the-wheel, on closed skills course

Includes: 

• – Straight-line back
• – Offset back
• – Parallel park
• – Alley dock

Outcome: Prepared to pass the skills test at DPS

(B) Skills Maneuver Session

Goal: Train students for the driving portion of the CDL exam.

Format: On-the-road practice, exam route simulation

Includes: 

• – Lane changes
• – Turns
• – Clutch/shifting
• – Stopping
• – Safe driving habits

Outcome: Road-test ready for DPS exam
