Yes. Additional practice time may be arranged.

All additional practice must be approved in writing and may incur additional fees. Instructor supervision is required unless waived in advance.

Each training session is individually priced and provided as a separate service. Training is offered in skill-based sessions, which may include:

- ELDT Theory or Endorsement Preparation (HazMat, Passenger, Tanker)
- Pre-Trip Inspection — Part 1 (Engine & Cab)
- Pre-Trip Inspection — Part 2 (Trailer & Brake Systems)
- Road Driving Skills Session
- Skills Maneuver Practice
- Class B Combination Session

Each training session is offered as a separate service, is billed individually, and no single training service exceeds 24 hours in duration.

No. Our sessions are not part of a licensed or accredited degree program. We offer individual, skills-focused training sessions designed to support CDL permit holders and commercial drivers preparing for testing or endorsements.

Yes. We are an FMCSA-registered training provider under the ELDT rule (49 CFR Part 380) and report completed hours directly to the Training Provider Registry (TPR).

Yes. Lifetime CDL Academy is an FMCSA-approved training provider listed on the Training Provider Registry (TPR). We report Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) hours directly to the FMCSA after you complete eligible courses such as:
- ELDT Theory (Class A or B)
- HazMat Endorsement
- Passenger or Tanker Endorsements
To receive credit, you must complete the full ELDT course and meet all FMCSA requirements.

Yes. We offer in-house payment options for eligible participants. Agreements must be signed in advance, with a deposit due before the first session. Late payments are subject to a $25 fee after 3 days. Clients must remain in good standing to continue training.

- Full refund minus $25 admin fee if canceled 48+ hours in advance.
- 50% refund if canceled less than 48 hours before session.
- No refund for no-shows or same-day cancellations.
- Refunds issued within 7–10 business days after approval.
- No refunds for dismissals due to safety or conduct violations.

Yes. We offer Class A and Class B truck rentals:
- Class A: $1,000 (includes 2 DMV attempts)
- Class B: $600 (includes 2 DMV attempts)
Additional tests: $150 per try. Rentals include fuel and insurance. CDL permit is required.

A no-show or late arrival that results in a canceled test will count as one full rental use. Please arrive early to avoid losing a rental session.

The CDL exams consist of two parts: a written test and a road test. The written test covers general knowledge, air brakes, and the specific endorsements you want to obtain. The road test evaluates your ability to perform pre-trip inspection, basic control skills, and on-road driving. To prepare for the CDL exams, you should study the CDL manual, take practice tests, and review the test procedures and scoring criteria. You can also enroll in a CDL training program that will help you learn the skills and knowledge needed to pass the exams.

You can verify our registration by visiting the FMCSA’s Training Provider Registry at https://tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov. Use the Find a Provider search tool to look up “Lifetime CDL Academy”—this will show all registered training locations and types. You can also confirm that your training completion has been reported by using the “Check Your Record” feature with your CLP or CDL number.

You must be at least 18 years old to get a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) for in-state (intrastate) driving in Texas. To drive across state lines (interstate), carry passengers, or haul hazardous materials, you must be 21 or older.

You must hold your Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) for at least 14 days before taking the CDL skills (road) test.

When applying for a CLP at a Texas DPS office, bring the following documents:

1. Completed Form CDL-1 (commercial driver license application)
2. Proof of identity (e.g., Texas driver's license, U.S. passport, or birth certificate)
3. Proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful presence (e.g., passport or citizenship certificate)
4. Social Security Number (SSN card)
5. Two documents proving Texas residency (e.g., utility bills, lease agreements)
6. Self-certification form (CDL-4, CDL-5, or CDL-10)
7. Medical Examiner’s Certificate (if required by your self-certification status)
8. Application fee payment (typically $25 for the CLP)
